Bobby Pryor, Partner
Throughout his legal career from 1983 to present, Bobby Pryor has focused on successfully defending major corporations in complex litigation before juries. Pryor has tried and won more than 100 jury and bench trials and has successfully resolved hundreds of other matters for his clients prior to trial, either through summary judgment, negotiated settlement, mediation or arbitration. His legal strategies always focus on obtaining the best possible result for his clients, with a view toward a favorable verdict if trial becomes necessary.
Pryor was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1957. He attended the University of Arkansas receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980, graduating with honors and a Juris Doctorate degree in 1983, graduating summa cum laude. During law school, Pryor was named a member of the Arkansas Law Review, won the American Bar Association’s Regional Moot Court Competition and went on to finish in the top ten nationally, was named Outstanding Law School Graduate and a Charles Oxford Scholar.
In 1983, Pryor joined the Oklahoma City law firm of Hartzog, Conger & Cason where he acted as trial counsel for various corporations in Oklahoma involved in oil and gas, accountant malpractice, wrongful termination, shareholder dispute, products liability and personal injury litigation. In 1988, Pryor joined the Dallas office of the international law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where he acted as defense counsel in antitrust and accountant malpractice cases. In 1990, while with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, Pryor acted as primary trial counsel for a national retailer in North Texas in its personal injury, false arrest and wrongful termination cases.
In December 1993, Pryor resigned his partnership with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, and, with Dana Bruce, founded the law firm of Pryor & Bruce. Pryor currently represents a variety of companies and individuals in litigating a variety of business disputes, including contract and fraud claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, securities disputes, real estate and real estate investment trust matters, and employment claims. Pryor has successfully defended corporations in dozens of jury trials in Texas courts and was designated as national class action counsel in a certified national class against Farmers Insurance. In December of 2025, after the retirement of his longtime partner Dana Bruce, he founded the law firm of Pryor & Hill.
Pryor is licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeals, Third, Fifth, Ninth and Tenth Circuits; , the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas, and the Western District of Oklahoma;, and all Texas state courts.
Publications and Speeches
Pryor spoke to the General Counsel Section of the Dallas Bar Association at the Belo Mansion in Dallas on the topic of “Alternative Dispute Resolution Pros and Cons.” The materials prepared for this presentation are attached.

Pryor spoke in Houston to Pitney Bowes managers and human resource specialists on the subject of “Employment Litigation.”
Pryor spoke in Dallas at the Northern American Petroleum Accounting Conference on the topic of “Top Ten Mistakes in Hiring, Managing and Firing Employees.”
Pryor spoke in Las Vegas to the national conference of United Farmers Agent’s Association.

Matt Hill, Partner
Matt Hill is a trial lawyer with significant experience litigating complex commercial, employment, non-competition, and other business disputes. He has been lead counsel in jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and appeals and has successfully litigated cases on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Hill is licensed to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third and Fifth Circuits, United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas and in all Texas state courts. Hill graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 2001 and also has an MBA from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
Hill started his career at Hughes & Luce (now K&L Gates), where he represented and advised employers and litigated commercial cases. After working at the national employment defense firm Littler Mendelson, Hill started his own law firm in which he predominantly handled employment litigation and non-compete disputes and advised executives in severance negotiations.
After obtaining consistently successful results for his clients, Hill began working with Pryor & Bruce in 2009. Since arriving at Pryor & Bruce, Hill has worked on complex commercial, real estate, contract, employment, and other business litigation at both the trial and appellate level. In 2025, Bobby Pryor and Hill founded Pryor & Hill, where they continue that practice.
